Individual Note: Jane married married Ellis Anwyl, rector of Llaniestyn, Caerns., and their daughter Elizabeth married Richard Trygarn of Trygarn, Caerns. It was to ELIZABETH TRYGARN that the Berw estate was passed and after her, to her daughter MARY, born 1727, who had married John Griffiths of Carreglwyd. The Holland family name is perpetuated, near the (ruined) Plas Berw, by the inn and later hamlet called Holland Arms.

Individual Note: John Holland (alive 1461) of Pennant, married Elinor, daughter and co-heir of Ithel ap Hywel ap Llywelyn of Berw. His son Owen Holland (whodied in 1529) the eldest son took Berw, and the younger son, Morgan Holland, took Pennant. The Holland family remained in possession of thePennant estate until at least 1723.
