Individual Note: The Outdoor Relief Register for the Holywell Poor Law Union(G/B/134/267) dated 23/2/1849 shows Peter's wife Jane (40) applyingfor relief for herself and her Children Margaret (17), Sarah (15 & inservice), John(13), Thomas(11) , Mary (9), Peter (7), Jane (2) andWilliam 7 months. They were living at Mostyn Square, Whitford whichthe register notes had been the case for the past 19 years. John &Thomas were recorded as a being Colliers and were paid 4/- and 3/- perweek respectively. Mary was noted as being a cripple. Jane wasapplying for 2/6d relief for the support of her children whilst herhusband was in Gaol for debt. The application was refused but noted asbeing "ongoing".
